The cybersecurity sector in Mexico is at a turning point. Rapid digitization in companies and the rise in cybercrime have made the country a strategic location within Latin America.
More and more organizations are allocating resources to protect their data, but there is still a gap between the level of threat and the actual preparedness to respond to attacks.

A growth outlook
During 2024, Mexican companies faced an average of more than 3,000 cyberattacks per week, accounting for more than half of the threats in the region. The cost of cybercrime is estimated to reach $105 billion in 2025, reflecting the magnitude of the problem.
At the same time, the cybersecurity market in Mexico reached a value of just over $3 billion in 2024, with a projection that could exceed $4.3 billion in 2029.
This confirms that digital security has become a priority for multiple economic sectors.
An important fact is that, although most companies recognize that investing in cybersecurity represents a competitive advantage, less than four out of ten consider themselves ready to deal with serious incidents. This gap opens up opportunities for specialized providers to strengthen organizations' technological and human defenses.
Areas with the greatest opportunity
The sectors with the most potential for cybersecurity solutions in Mexico are banking, healthcare, manufacturing, retail, and public administration. Trends such as cloud security, API protection, the use of artificial intelligence, and automation stand out as strategic areas.
In addition, talent training and the creation of a strong cybersecurity culture within organizations are essential elements for reducing risks.
A fertile environment for investment
The Mexican market combines two key factors: increasing threats and a still limited business response. This situation makes the country an attractive terrain for the expansion of international companies offering cybersecurity solutions, especially those with experience in strategic sectors.
For Mexico, strengthening alliances between companies, educational institutions, and the government will be essential to increase its digital defense capacity and consolidate itself as a benchmark in the region.
At Cyberpeace, we believe that cybersecurity in Mexico is not only a necessity but also a strategic investment for the digital future. Staying informed and prepared is the best defense against an ever-evolving threat landscape. Want to learn more about how to protect your organization?
